One of the most needed work in this period. Sri Ramanuja worked for the masses by his words and deeds through propagation of Srivaishnavam. After that, the bhasyakaras (those who gave explnations and notes to Prabhandams and other Srivaishnava works resorted to Manipravala nadai, rather than the present day tamil making the explanation needs another explanation to understand the moola pada. I am very happy that, your efforts in this direction is adorable and all the srivaishnavas will be benefitted.

Many thanks for the valuable comments. Here are adiyen’s replies:
1. Adiyen preferred to use the words – நம்பெருமாள் திருவுள்ளத்தாலும், ஸ்ரீரங்கநாச்சியாரின் திருவுள்ளத்தாலும் – is because unless “They” have initiated this blog, this would not have been possible. Nothing in this world happens without “Their” Sankalpam…even devareer’s comments are “Their” thiruvullam only. Thus the term – thiruvullam – is placed to indicate adiyen is only a Nimitha Karanam in “Their” hands and does not indicate adiyen is as blessed as Veda Vyasa as quoted by devareer.
2. “If it is the Sweet Will of the Supreme One it would have its Divine Fragrance in its expositions” ……. No where adiyen has claimed that the expositions are Divine…In fact all of adiyen’s work are only translations of various Sanskrit / Tamil commentaries into simple Tamil. Thus, your remark does not apply to adiyen directly.
3. “But you are confusing the reader with such expressions”…….the terms aham and ahanta when expressed in simple Tamil means what adiyen has indicated. According to Lakshmi Tantra, Narayana is spoken as the I-entity and Lakshmi is spoken as I-ness. May adiyen request devareer to translate these two terms in more appealing Tamil, so that the same can be replaced in adiyen’s postings?

The pasuram which you have quoted is 6-5-4 of Periya Thirumozhi. The terms “pinnai porottaan vendraanuur” should be split as “pinnai poruttu aan vendraan uur”. Here “pinnai” means Napinnai. Thus the meaning is – Naraiyur is the place of Him who, for the sake of Napinnai, destroyed the seven bulls”. Hope this clarifies your doubt.

Dear Sri Vasu,
There are lot of people like that. Although I was born and brought up in Chennai, self makes some effort to read telugu(that’s also His blessings)! My father is very good in telugu. Although I can speak telugu if situation warrants, my first option is thamizh/english. I do speak/read/write hindi and little spoken samskrt and german. One thing i would like to tell you is, learning thamizh script is somewhat similar to samskrt and its straight unlike telugu script! I know telugu script. It is messy compared to thamizh! Thamizh is very straight, unique and very economical language. So You should not have problem in learning to read and write. I try to read some telugu newspaper to improve my reading skills. I don’t have to learn telugu. But i want to learn b’coz my acharya(HH Tridandi Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swami)speaks telugu also. Swamiji speaks in thamizh with self. Swamiji told many telugu people who live in US to learn thamizh from me. Acharyaji always insists his devotees to learn thamizh. Otherwise they are missing out so many beautiful feelings of Azhvars and Acharyas works. As Sri Sridharan swami put it, one needs to be blessed by Him. When HE wants to liberate the jivatmas is His choice. HE is the super CEO of all CEOs.
Since you know thamizh unlike many telugu people who can’t even understand a word of thamizh, start by placing the odds at His feet. When you have the desire for Azhvars, HE does wonders. That much i can tell you.

mangalashasanams to Devarir. adiyen came across this site and felt very happy. The very sight of azhagiya manavaalan reminded Azhvar’s “kangulum pagalum” paasuram and Sri Parashara Bhattar enjoying the Divine Couple through Sri Nanjeeyar. It will be great if Swami has Azhvan’s “atimaanusha stavam”(pancha stavam is a must read for all SVs). Sriramaynam is considered as “sharana:gati sha:stram” and Azhvan’s way of expression has no parallel. Swami, do devarir have Sri Parashara Bhattar’s Srirangaraja stavam mainly explanation in thamizh? One should enjoy SriRanganatha only through Bhattar. Devarir is doing great kaimkaryam through this website. Perumal’s blessings be with devarir always to live for 120 years like SriRamanuja.
Swami, Sri Jaswant asked where he could find Gita Bha:shyam online. There is one dutch person Van Buitenan whose PhD thesis in 1953/54 was on Gita Bha:shyam translated in English with Sri Yamunacharya’s 33 Gita slokas with english meanings as preface. He has done an excellent work in expressing the true meanings of SriRamanuja sampradayam based on the fundamental principle of “nir he:tuka krpa”. Its a rare book only available in some libraries. adiyen has a copy. adiyen doesn’t know if its there online. Self will recommend this to anyone who wants to know the authentic meanings. As far self knows, Van Buitenan doesn’t deviate from R’s teachings and we go by His nirhetuka krpa. If its not online, adiyen is planning to put it up.
Devarir please correct adiyen’s understanding of aham and ahanta as some other reader was asking to express it in “better” thamizh. If Sun is Na:ra:yana, then light is Lakshmi. What does Sun give? It radiates light. Light is an attribute of Sun. Lakshmi is nothing but “compassionate” aspect of the Lord. His will/swa:tantryam runs non-stop while the “mercy” not so. Srivachana bhu:shanam says “krupaiyaal varum pa:rathantriyaththaik kaattilum, swaathantriyaththal varum paarathantryam prabalam”. Some srivaishnava asked Sri Parashara Bhattar “dasharatha must have got moksha?” Bhattar replied “actually perumal was planning to send dasharatha to naraka/hell but gave some grace marks and sent to swarga/heaven”. According to R’s sampradayam even vasishta didn’t get moksha!adiyen has original texts for mumukshuppadi,srivachana bhushanam,acharya hrdayam. adiyen loves to have commentary for divya prabandham. adiyen is not blessed yet to enjoy that although self enjoys azhvars works here and there through some upanyasams. adiyen has forgotten the actual wordings but remember the meanings. adiyen lives in US. self understanding is aham/atma refers to “I” in english and mind(also matter),which is a collection of thoughts is an attribute of the atma. Please correct self if wrong and forgive self for the long writing.

only the book from lifco by Swami Vankeepuram Sri Rama Dhesikachar of Oppiliyappan Koil ( The preseident awardee ) and great Acharya of 1940 to 1980 on Swami Dhesikan is the best one to understand Swami Dhesikan Thiru Ullam more clearly
